One Brain vs. Eleven

“Who do you think is best at thinking, processing information and making decisions? The brain of one manager? Or the brains of 11 footballers on the pitch, striving towards a common goal?” ~ Jorge Valdano

1. Do you agree?

2. If this is true, do you spend your time at soccer practice developing eleven brains (or however many players on your team) to think, process information and make decisions, or do you tell them what to think, how to do it, and how to make decisions?

3. Which approach do you think is most appropriate for the dynamic game of soccer?

4. So, what are you going to do about it?
